B.C. Ferries cuts fares for vehicles in half on select sailings

NANAIMO – Vehicle fare discount on B.C. Ferries runs from Nov. 16 until Dec. 20.

Taking a vehicle on British Columbia’s main ferry service just got a lot cheaper.

B.C. Ferries announced a 50-per cent price reduction in vehicle fares for off-peak sailings between Nov. 15 and Dec. 19 on all South Coast routes, which include Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Island and North and South Gulf Island sailings.

The 50-per cent fare discount will apply to cars, trucks, sport utility vehicles, vans, recreational vehicles and motorcycles on Monday to Thursday as well as Saturday sailings.

“B.C. Ferries is offering discount travel to gauge our customers’ response to the concept of saving while travelling on off-peak sailings,” Mike Corrigan, BC Ferries’ President and CEO said, in a press release.

B.C. Ferries is also offering the 50-per cent promotion on its North Coast routes, including Inside Passage, Haida Gwaii, and Discovery Coast Connector sailings, from Nov. 16 until Dec. 20.
