Armed robbery takes place at Tim Hortons in Courtenay

Comox Valley RCMP responded to a report of a robbery in the middle of the night

On Nov. 2 at 2:15 a.m., the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at Tim Hortons restaurant, located at the intersection of Lerwick Road and Ryan Road in Courtenay.

A lone man entered the business and while brandishing a knife and demanded money from the employee. There were no physical injuries to any of the employees, who complied with the demands of the man.

The man then fled the area in a 1990s red extended cab pickup truck with a black canopy.

The man is described as being approximately six feet tall and was wearing a dark grey hoodie with blue accents, dark pants and running shoes.
