Nanaimo RCMP have a number of unsolved files which they hope the public can help solve.

Telus Communications on Shenton Road, Nanaimo, reported the theft of one of their trailers which occurred in the last month. The trailer is highly specialized and used for hauling telephone poles.
In the early morning hours of Aug. 7, three light standards at an industrial site at 2400 Labieux Rd. were damaged. The poles were purposely hit by a vehicle and completely bent over, destroying them.
On the evening of Aug. 20, 244 metres of wire was stolen from three power poles across from the Country Club Centre on the Island Highway. Theft of wire from public utilities costs the city a significant amount of money every year. Any suspicious activity around the base of any power pole needs to be reported to police immediately.
A vehicle parked at Longwood Station was broken into and a set of valuable golf clubs were stolen. It occurred during the lunch hour on Aug. 23. They are left-handed Wilson clubs and a Taylor driver in a black bag.

Overnight on Aug. 23, multiple vehicles were broken into on streets between Princess Royal Avenue (behind Terminal Park Mall) and Stewart Avenue. In most cases side windows were smashed and items of value in view were taken. In one case a convertible roof was cut open to access an item inside.
Overnight on Friday Aug. 24, a blue, silver and black Rossignol mountain bike was stolen from a residence in the 3000 block of Rock City Road.
Vandals were at work in the 3000 block of Kite Way overnight on Aug. 24. Culprits cut wires on a gate to get into a resident’s yard and damaged the sprinkler system by cutting through its hoses.
A lock was cut off a trailer owned by Habitat for Humanity at Hecate and Prideaux streets Aug. 28. A 3,500-watt Honda generator was stolen.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for these crimes.
