20 pails of oil stolen from Nanaimo business

Break-and-enter happened at Brandt Tractor Ltd. sometime overnight on Nov. 2

A suspect or suspects broke through a locked gate and broke into locked containers in an unsolved crime south of Nanaimo last week.

A pallet containing 20 pails of oil was stolen from Brandt Tractor Ltd. on School House Road in South Wellington sometime overnight on Nov. 2, according to an unsolved crimes report provided by Nanaimo RCMP.

“Unless the thieves possessed Herculean strength, a truck would have been required to carry off the loot,” the report noted.
