UPDATE: Missing 16-year-old Nanaimo girl not seen since the weekend found safe and sound

Police say there’s ‘significant concern’ about teen’s safety

UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP report missing 16-year-old girl found safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: A 16-year-old girl hasn’t been seen since the weekend and Nanaimo RCMP are now asking for the public’s help with their missing person investigation.

She has not been seen nor heard from since Saturday, Feb. 17, and she was reported missing to the Nanaimo RCMP on Wednesday, Feb. 21, according to a police press release.

“[She] has had no contact with her support group since being reported missing, and for this reason, there is significant concern for her safety and well-being,” the release noted.

The teen is 5-foot-6, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes and the photo provided is recent.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2024-5561.
