Nanaimo RCMP are looking for the public's help with their investigation into a suspicious car fire.

According to a police press release, Nanaimo Fire Rescue called police after responding to the intersection of Summerhill Place and Dufferin Crescent at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday,  Feb. 11, when firefighters found a compact car on fire.

The back tire and passenger-side door were damaged, the release noted.

Investigators are asking any motorist who was parked near the intersection between 9 and 9:30 p.m. to review their dash camera footage and report anything suspicious to the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and refer to file No. 2025-4083.
