TheatreOne is kicking off its 40th season with the first of a series of shows aimed at kids. The Trollsons is the first of the Just for Kids series and promises a fun afternoon of Scandinavian children’s stories exploring troll folklore.

Set deep in the forests of Scandinavia, the Trollsons showcases a magical and comedic family of trolls in a fantastical forest.

“The show is truly a delight,” said Michael Cade, TheatreOne’s artistic and managing director, in a press release. “I have brought it to my audiences both in Vernon and Chilliwack and now I’m thrilled our Just for Kids audience will have the opportunity to revel in the whimsy and fun the show brings. It is a wonderful addition to our 2024-25 season.”

The Trollsons is produced by Vancouver’s Pangaea Arts and will be at the Malaspina Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 each, with a discounted price of $10 each for family groups of four or more. Reserved seats can be purchased on TheatreOne’s website, on the phone or at the door.
