All the highland dancers down at Brigadoon Dance Academy like Christmas a lot. And they’ll be sharing that holiday cheer this Sunday, Dec. 9, at their Lassie Lou Who show at the Port Theatre.
Narrator Bill Poppy, piper Kevin Dougan, and all age categories of Brigadoon dancers from three to 30-something will play a part in the production. The show is inspired by Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
“It’s coming together well,” said Diena Henry, principal instructor at Brigadoon. “It’s going to be lots of fun. The kids are always laughing at their parts and being Lou Whos.”
In Brigadoon’s re-telling, the Grinch lives on Mount Benson and, spoiler alert, may carve haggis instead of roast beast.
