Nanaimo RCMP scooped up a car load of food for Nanaimo Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank on the weekend.
On Saturday, Mounties hosted their annual Cram the Cruiser event at Real Canadian Superstore where, with help from the store’s employees, constables Denise Fraser and Richard Devos managed to pack the back of a police car with 292 kilograms of food and $1,886 in cash donations.
Cram the Cruiser is held annually to help food banks supply food to people suffering financial hardship in the community.
