Rogers Communication has proposed the installation of a telecommunications tower in a location in 1800 Serenity Pl., in Nanoose Bay.

The proposed tower would be 53 metres tall, and include antennas and a lightning rod. The goal is to improve the wireless coverage in the northern area of Nanoose Bay, including the vicinity of Northwest Bay Road, and also meet the growing demands for wireless services.

Rogers invites the community to attend a public meeting at the Main Hall of Nanoose Place Community Centre, located at 2925 Northwest Bay Rd., on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The public is also invited to provide written comments about the plan by the end of business day on Feb. 28. Rogers asks that a return address be included in the letter.

You can send your letters to Rogers representative B. Gregg of SitePath Consulting Ltd., PO Box 20138, Vancouver RPO, Fairview, BC, V5Z 0C1.
