Teens can spend their spring break immersed in hip hop and dance with Crimson Coast Dance Society’s Body Talk Spring Break Workshop.
The workshop, March 21-25 at Vibe Dance Studio, is open to teens 13-19, and an event press release promises “a week of artful and cultural creativity.”
There will be hip hop dance instruction with A.J. ‘Megaman’ Kambere, writing, poetry and song with rapper Sirreal, and culture through dance with Tzinquaw Dancers and Snuneymuxw elders.
Folllowing the camp, the youths will get to meet Haisla rappers Yung Trybez and Young D – the Snotty Nose Rez Kids – who will headline an all-ages finale performance March 26 at 7:30 p.m. at VIU’s Malaspina Theatre.
