Young performers showcase talents

Talented young performers from central and  northern Vancouver Island will showcase their talents during the Upper Island Musical Festival’s Honour Performance.

The performance is Sunday (April 14) 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church. Tickets are $10/$8 seniors and students available at the door.

During the past seven weeks more than 1,500 young performers have showcased their talents in various fields such as piano, vocal, sting, brass and woodwind and speech arts before adjudicators.

Sunday’s event features performances by individuals chosen by the adjudicators as some of the best in the festival. The concert also features the Sinclair Singers and the Nanaimo Youth Choir.
