Vancouver Island University’s visual art students bring “colour, pop, enchantment and pizzazz” to brighten winter months.
According to a release from the university, members of the public are invited to check out the Student Art Salon in the View Gallery, on the second floor of building 330 on VIU campus, 900 Fifth St.
The gallery will be open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
“The View Gallery is excited to welcome back our visual art students and start the new year by presenting a stunning showcase of works that span a spectrum of media,” noted the release.
The exhibit includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, printmaking and photography.
Exhibiting students include: Sarah Alexander; Enigye (Happy) Amarkah; Jamie Bollinger; Kylee Bowman; Grace Comeau; David Harvey; Sophie Mae Hyman; Dana Lamos; Malcolm van Der Vert Maarchalk; Susan McGrill; Ivy Miller; Liudmyla Okata; James O’Reilley; Ash Peacock; Sophie Roe; Lori Sorensen; Angela Traynor; Cass Vachon; Pam Vickers; Sidney Van; Katie Weismiller; and Chiara Maltby.
The Art Salon exhibit will run Jan. 10 until Feb. 9.
