An exhibition of aboriginal artwork at Nanaimo Art Gallery features a free tour to help better understand the meaning behind the pieces.
Sonny Assu and Rande Cook’s dual exhibit, Ebb and Flow, is on display at the campus location until Sept. 1 and features a free, docent-led tour on Aug. 11, from 12:30-1:15 p.m.
Trained in both traditional and contemporary practices, Assu and Cook push boundaries to redefine what society understands and expects of First Nations art and culture.
