Audiences are invited to join the Looking Glass String Quartet for a concert in downtown Nanaimo and discover the beautiful proportions and shapes of Johann Sebastian Bach’s music.

According to a release for ‘Bach in the Harbour’, the quartet will play selections from Bach’s Art of the Fugue, Well-Tempered Clavier, Musical Offering and Cello Suites.

“Bach must have enjoyed writing these musical puzzles as much as musicians enjoy interpreting them. Come and discover why the Looking Glass String Quartet has chosen their intriguing name,” read the release.

The quartet will feature Karl Rainer and Nick Ross on violin, as well as Hannah Wilson and Alexandra Lee on cello.

They will play St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 100 Chapel St. in Nanaimo, on Sunday, May 15, for a 2 p.m. matinée show.

Tickets, which can be purchased online through www.porttheatre.com, are priced at $25 for general admission and $10 for youths 18 years and under.
