Spring Break fun at Nanaimo Museum

The Nanaimo Museum is hosting a week long series of events and activities for the whole family between March 17 and March 21.

Nanaimo Museum is hosting a week of drop-in activities to keep the whole family busy during spring break.

Aimee Greenaway, program coordinator, said in a news release that the week-long event continues to grow each year.

Spring break at the museum is gaining in popularity every year,” Greenaway said. “Last year there were over 600 participants."

Each day features a different theme, including time travel, coal miners, dinosaurs, sports history and shipwrecks. The activities are typically designed for children in elementary school, however there will be an activity suitable for preschoolers.

"The museum is a great place to have quality family time and keep the kids busy during time off from school," Greenaway said.

Activities, such as hands-on art projects, take place Monday to Friday (March 17-21), 1-4 p.m. There is no pre-registration. Admission is by donation. For more information, please call 250 753-1821 or visit www.nanaimomuseum.ca
