If so, then you’re in luck.
Nanaimo’s Port Theatre is actively looking for outstanding youth between the ages of 15-24 to be part of their Youth Working Group.
The Youth Working Group will help organize a professional performance at the Port Theatre for the National Youth Ark Week, which takes place next year.
“Our hope is to remove barriers to participation in the performing arts for young people, and nurture youths’ potential desire to work in the arts,” general manager, Bruce Halliday said in a press release.
Those who are selected to be part of the Youth Working Group will learn valuable experience about programming for theatre, such as selecting artists for performances, to budgeting and marketing and outreach.
