Nanaimo Idol finalists will raise their voices in hopes of winning the top spot on Saturday (July 23).
The top five contestants are Michael van Daventer, Morgan Schoen, Nakul Joseph, Breanna Lancaster and Sherry Usipuik.
Sydney Needham, of Indie Entertainment, said the organization has run serval different idol contests. It’s the second annual Nanaimo Idol event and it’s being held in tandem with the Nanaimo Marine Festival and the World Championship Bathtub Races.
“We hope to keep it as a yearly thing,” she said.
Idol contestants will perform with the Femme Fatales from 3-6 p.m. at Diana Krall Plaza. The Femme Fatales and Moonshine Mollys will also perform.
Attendees will also learn about some of the latest clothing trends during a fashion show by Catwalk Fashions.
