Lee Stead likes to paint outside, which means she primarily paints in the summertime.

For the rest of the month the Nanaimo artist is warming up Art 10 Gallery with her new show, Summer Revisited.

The exhibition features bright landscape paintings of some of Stead’s favourite plein air spots, including Linley Valley, Thetis Island, Pipers Lagoon and Neck Point Park.

“To go outside and take my paints and drag everything to different locations and set up and paint is such a joy for me,” Stead said.

WHAT’S ON … Lee Stead’s Summer Revisited runs at Art 10 Gallery in Nanaimo North Town Centre mall until the end of November.
