Juno Award winner and gold-record-certified singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman is returning to the Queen’s in Nanaimo.

According to a release for the May 2 show, since a self-produced indie album debut, For Him and The Girls in 1999, through to chart-topping singles of 2020, Workman has careened between major label international smash hits to Canadiana-soaked indie releases.

“His show-stopping vocals on songs about weather, love, heartbreak and tales of end-times have garnered him a league of devoted fans,” read the release.

As a multi-instrumentalist with a catalogue of 17 solo records, Workman’s genre-defying style strings together folk, chart pop and cabaret.

If available, tickets for the May 2 show can be purchased online through www.showpass.com, at the door, or through specific retail outlets Lucid, Desire Tattoo Studio and Sunrise Records. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is intended for those over 19 years old.
