Dom Famularo has been one of the world’s most sought after drum instructors for decades and next week he comes to the Harbour City to share his knowledge of the art form.
He is performing and sharing his insight during a drum clinic, presented by Harbour City Music, Wednesday (June 5) at 6:30 p.m. at Nanaimo Centre Stage.
He has led drumming clinics around the globe for more than 30 years and also leads education courses at various universities and camps.
He has performed with the Buddy Rich Big Band, Lionel Hampton, B.B. King and more during his career and is known for his Moeller technique, which is high-speed double-pedal bass drumming.
He began his professional drumming career at 12 years old, while playing in a band with his siblings and at 17 he began studying with Ronnie Benedict.
Tickets for the drum clinic are $15 and are available at Harbour City Music, located at 615 Townsite Rd. or at the door.
