Jackass Mountain is not a major landmark on the highway through the Fraser Canyon, but it did see its fair share of motor vehicle accidents during Scheideman’s patrols.
He had to scramble down the cliff to discover the decaying corpse of a crash victim and to rescue a driver lucky enough to survive his vehicle’s plunge over the edge by jumping to safety.
