Nanaimo’s Judy Magnussen found herself amongst the sandstone formations that grace the landscape of Sedona, Ariz., when it hit her.
“I felt like I had been there in a past life,” Magnussen told the News Bulletin. “There was a real connection.”
That connection was just one among many that Magnussen felt during her spiritual retreat to the Grand Canyon State.
“I just loved every part of it,” she said. “It was a great experience.”
Magnussen, a former school secretary in Port Alberni, has documented her spiritual experiences in Sedona and a number of other places in her latest book, Judy Tells.
“It’s about my experiences and the places I’ve been,” she said. “It’s part of my journey.”
On Saturday (Sept. 27) the Nanaimo-based author will be holding a book launch and signing at Lobelia’s Lair, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Magnussen, who is now retired, has spent the last several years practising various energy techniques. Her first book, Healing Messages of Love from the Spirit World, was released in 2011.
