Two workshops aim to teach artists the steps to take their creations to the next level.
Robyn Cornelius leads a three-day workshop exploring materials and techniques in metal Oct. 14-16.
Cornelius will cover sawing skills, filing and reticulation, introduce torches and simple soldering techniques, and look at liver of sulfur patina to create amazing colour in metalwork.
Twelve spaces are available in the workshop. Cost is $345, plus materials fee.
Gwen Fox, internationally renowned for her abstract expression paintings, leads the workshop Art with Impact to show painters how to get a certain glow through colour and design. The workshop is set for Oct. 31-Nov. 4. Cost is $495.
