Art show hits plaza screen

NANAIMO – The video works of three artists will be on display on the big screen at Diana Krall Plaza.

The video works of three artists will be on display on the big screen at Diana Krall Plaza.

Video works by Corey Bryson, Laura Dutton and Jennifer Van de Pol draw attention to the individual and collective experiences of particular places or events.

These artists make use of local histories, political issues and social behaviour as they examine and re-imagine the world through documentation, altered time and fabricated experiences.

Intervening in the regular programming, the videos run periodically throughout the day for the duration of the exhibition, allowing viewers to experience the same artworks at different points in their day and with different circumstances.

The video show, an exhibition of the Nanaimo Art Gallery, runs until Dec. 15. For more information, please call 250-754-1750 or visit www.nanaimoartgallery.com.
