Bundle up this fall and take a tour of Nanaimo’s public art pieces but be sure to keep your mobile device handy.
The City of Nanaimo has recently launched the Nanaimo Art Explorer App, available at https://m.nanaimo.ca/art/. Using your smart phone you can follow a guided tour of the local public art collection.
Once launched, the application will use your device’s GPS to find your location. Simply swipe through the images of the art pieces, tap on ‘learn more’ to display a description of the art and information about the artist.
