Musician Andy Vine is this month’s featured artist at the Nanaimo Folk Connection.

He performs with Danielle Arcand April 21 at 7 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, located at 2174 Departure Bay Rd.

Vine has been singing and writing songs for more than 50 years. His song Woman of Labrador has been covered by many artists, including the East Coast band Figgy Duff.

His song Excuse Me Your Planet is Burning was a comment about global warming and Duped was about the war in Iraq.

The show begins with an open stage. Vine will perform after the intermission. Admission is $5 at the door.
