A collective of professional and semi-professional multi-media artists will gather this weekend to present their fifth annual outdoor exhibition.

Come rain or shine, on Sunday, June 11, 13 Artists by the River will showcase a variety of artistic endeavours at 1940 Burchell Rd. in Cedar behind the general store from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

“This is a real community inspiring venture getting people out to enjoy and appreciate live art, music and nature,” said artist Barbara Scott, in an event press release.

Returning artists will include Scott, Lauren Kent, Janis Uvanile, Lynda Morrison, Dennis McMahon, Frank Kobe, Lynne Wheatly, Bonnie Stebbings, Marion Lord, Karen Evans, Bruce Farquharson, and Steve Iker. New to this year’s show will be Jain Alcock-White.

Displayed artwork will include acrylic paintings, jewelry, fabric art, stained glass, photography pottery, stone carvings, woodwork and more.

13 Artists by the River will also include a food truck, a live band between 12-3 p.m., and a door prize.

According to the release, all donations made during the event will go towards the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
