Four students from Vancouver Island University showcased their award-winning culinary arts skills at the 15th annual BC Chefs Hot Competition LIVE! in Vancouver recently.

Registered non-profit groups are invited to participate in a city program that helps them raise funds and gain recognition while making Nanaimo a cleaner, more attractive community.

Haven Society’s Campaign for Courage still needs about $250,000 to reach its goal to pay for the organization’s new community services building.
