Nanaimo youths are dressing up for Halloween but instead of asking for treats, they’re asking for non-perishable food donations to help those in need.

Youth 20/20 Can Nanaimo, a youth volunteer group, is holding its second Halloween for Hunger event on Saturday, Oct. 30, in support of Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.

The volunteers will be stationed in front of Save-On-Foods at Country Club Centre from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and hope people will donate canned goods and other items.
