The Nanaimo air cadets program starts up a new year of training in September and interested youth are invited to sign up.
The 205 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets is open to youth aged 12-18 and aims to develop good citizenship and leadership attributes, promote physical fitness and stimulate the interest of youth in the air element of the Canadian Forces.
Youth can register Sept. 6 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the squadron’s headquarters, 719 Nanaimo Lakes Rd. A parent or guardian is required to complete the registration forms and the youth’s B.C. Care Card, birth certificate and passport or permanent resident/landed immigrant card are also required.
