The Nanaimo Yacht Club celebrates its maritime heritage with the annual Cutty Sark Snake Island to Nanaimo regatta Saturday (June 30) at 10 a.m.
The regatta brings about 400 visiting sailors and their families to town each year.
Children ages six to 18 years old are invited to take or create photos of the race start and send them to www.nanaimoyc.ca for a chance to win free sailing lessons.
