Workshop supports dementia carers

NANAIMO – Alzheimer Society offers strategies to maximize quality of life.

In just a few hours of their time, Nanaimo families and caregivers living with dementia can learn strategies that will help maximize their quality of life for years.

The non-profit Alzheimer Society of B.C. brings its free educational series Shaping the Journey: Living with Dementia to the area beginning on Nov. 9. It runs for four weeks.

The sessions run on Wednesdays through Nov. 30 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Alzheimer Resource Centre, 200-1585 Bowen Rd. Registration is required by calling 250-734-4171 or e-mailing cpelletier@alzheimerbc.org.
