Wood sculptures are on display at Bowen Park auditorium Nov. 3 as the Nanaimo Harbour City Seniors Woodcarving Club hosts its 18th annual Wood Carving Show and Competition
In addition to wood carvings, this year’s show also displays painting, ceramics, pottery and wood working done by members of the Nanaimo Harbour City Seniors
The show feature a variety of carvings featuring birds animals, fish and caricatures in a number of styles including chip carving, intarsia, pyrography and woodturning.
The competition is open to carvers of all ages and skill levels and is open to the public from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $2.
