Nanaimo’s Samaritan House women’s shelter was grateful to receive essential items donated by a women’s friendship network recently.

Preceptor Gamma Lambda, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International non-academic sorority, filled gift bags with toiletries and other essentials and delivered them to Samaritan House at the end of October.

Samaritan House recently moved to a temporary location on Prideaux Street, suspending drop-in services. The non-profit, which provides support for vulnerable women, expects to move into a new permanent home on Nicol Street next year.
