The Nanaimo Wave Babes dragon boat team keeps paddling, and fundraising, for a cause.
The team, with the help of fundraising partners at DBL Disposal, Regional Recycling and Woodgrove Centre, raised $22,500 for medical imaging and surgical suites at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
The money was raised through the team’s Pink Bin recycling program and other projects.
