VIU alumni looking to connect

NANAIMO – Campaign asks VIU’s alumni to update their profile and help build the network.

Vancouver Island University’s Alumni Association is launching an initiative to connect the more than 40,000 people around the world who have studied at the institution since it first started in 1936.

The Alumni Connect Campaign asks all of the institution’s alumni to take a couple of minutes to update their profile and help build the growing alumni network.

Everyone who does is eligible to win prizes including an iPad 4, a getaway at the Old House Village Hotel and Spa, or $300 in gift cards from London Drugs.

“Whether they were part of the vocational trade school, studied at Malaspina or more recently at any of VIU’s four campuses, we’re asking all former students to update their profile and get connected with their Alumni Association and former classmates,” said Jacqualine Johnson VIU Alumni Association president. “This is an opportunity for alumni to stay connected to friends, get connected to our global network and stay tuned to VIU news and events and their university community.”

The campaign ends June 30. For more information, please go to www.viu.ca/alumni/connectcampaign.asp or call 250-740-6215.
