Vancouver Island leads the list of top five Islands in Canada in the Condé Nast Traveler 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards.
Dave Petryk, president/CEO of Tourism Vancouver Island said the No. 1 ranking is terrific news, especially during challenging times for the industry.
“It helps to restore our confidence that visitors continue to desire the Vancouver Island region,” he said.
Other islands on the list include Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton Island, the Gulf Islands and Newfoundland.
