For the second year, estheticians and hair technicians at Breze Salon and Day Spa at Country Club Centre are helping to make vulnerable students’ back to school a bit brighter with a $1,400 donation to the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation Stock the Lockers campaign.
Staff contributed five per cent of their tips on services toward the charity. Last year Breze donated $1,000 to Stock the Lockers and they wanted to give again this year to help local kids in need start the school year on the right foot.
Staff members at Breze have been donating their tips for six years and have contributed to a variety of charitable organizations.
Donations can still be made to Stock the Lockers via cash or cheque to the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation by calling 250-753-4074 or online at www.nlsf.ca. Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $20.
The Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation raises money and works in partnership with teachers, administrators and counselors in Nanaimo school district to deliver support programs that better the lives of students in need.
