The Ford dealership in Nanaimo is participating in a nationwide fundraiser that supports local elementary schools.

On May 13, for one person per household who test drives a Ford vehicle at Steve Marshall Ford in Nanaimo will earn $20 for Brechin Elementary School, up to a maximum of $6,000. It’s part of One Week, One Cause, Drive for WE program happening across Canada May 7-13.

Test-drive participants must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s licence.

WE is an organization that brings people together and gives them tools to change the world, according to a press release from Ford Canada.

Ford Canada and its dealerships have been supporting local communities with the Drive4UR program since 2010, generating more than $8 million in donations for schools and charities across Canada.
