Nanaimo's Terry Fox Run brought out more than 350 people to Bowen Park to support the cause.

The event, held in remembrance of Fox's Marathon of Hope and raising money for the Terry Fox Foundation, was held Sunday, with five-kilometre and two-kilometre distances.

According to Kathleen Van Doorn, race organizer, 366 people participated and 35 volunteers assisted. Approximately $26,000 was raised, about $10,000 more than the previous year.

Van Doorn thanked sponsors, participants, fundraisers, volunteers and the City of Nanaimo.
