Symphony makes music through roses

Vancouver Island Symphony celebrates it’s annual Symphony of Roses Day.

There will be smiles, happy hearts and warm fuzzy feelings for hundreds of unsuspecting residents throughout the central Island area April 4 as the Vancouver Island Symphony celebrates it’s annual Symphony of Roses Day.

It’s a fundraiser like no other as symphony volunteers head out from Turley’s Florists in Nanaimo, knock on doors to homes, offices, schools – anywhere a thought of appreciation is being given – and deliver a box of beautiful, colourful, long-lasting, premium growth roses.

Imagine the thrill as friends, loved ones, business associates, neighbours, doctors, bankers, favourite teachers, great staff, clients and others open the door to receive such a warm-hearted surprise.

The joy is not just in the receiving, it is also in the giving – in knowing someone you care about and appreciate is smiling. And for the many repeat volunteers, the joy is in the experience of preparing the roses and delivering them.

To send along a Symphony of Roses to someone special, please call 250-754-6344, download the order form from the symphony web site at www.vancouverislandsymphony.com, and fax it to 250-754-2191 or drop it off at Turley’s Florist, 60 Terminal Ave.

All orders must be placed through Turley’s by Friday (March 30) at 4 p.m.

Cost is 12 roses, $29.99 (includes taxes) or 24 roses for $52.

All proceeds go directly to the Vancouver Island Symphony.
