The fifth annual Sweets for the Streets silent auction and dessert night takes place at Maranatha Church, 6553 Portsmouth Rd. from 7-9 p.m.

The silent auction will have 200 or more items, ranging from home and garden, dinner, hotels and everything in between.

Samaritan House first opened in 1989 and has since provided the basic necessities of life including a clean bed, home-cooked meals, a welcoming staff, and support.

Tickets are $5 and available at Adia Salon, 5765 Turner Rd., or the society office at 3156 Barons Rd. For more information, please call 250-585-2577.
