Students tackle litter at Piper’s Park

NANAIMO: Piper’s Lagoon Park is the latest beach to receive some tender loving care from community groups.

The shoreline of Piper’s Lagoon Park is the latest beach to receive some tender loving care from community groups.

Students from Dover Bay Secondary School – including the student council and Eco and Me to We clubs – are policing the park Saturday (Oct. 27) from 10:30 a.m. to noon, picking up litter and any garbage washed ashore.

The work party is a partnership with Nanaimo parks, recreation and culture.
