Star Wars fans, cosplayers and gamers gather for GeekCon in Nanaimo

Attendees asked about new Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker movie coming out this year

Fans of Star Wars were among the cosplayers, comic book fans and video gamers at Harbourfront Library in Nanaimo for GeekCon Saturday.

The one-day event celebrates geek culture and featured people dressed in their favourite characters, retro video games such as Tetris, and board games.

With the next Star Wars movie, Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, set for release in December, we asked fans what they hope to see in the final part of the current trilogy.
