Spirituality spotlighted at Bethlehem Alive 2017

Nanaimo’s Bethlehem Centre hosts a gala fundraiser event on June 24

The Bethlehem Centre is planning an evening of food, music and inspiration.

The centre hosts Bethlehem Alive 2017, a gala fundraiser event, on June 24.

The special guest will be Rabbi Dr. Laura Duhan Kaplan, who will give a presentation called Spiritual, Religious or Both?

“Duhan Kaplan teaches that spiritual practice is the art of paying attention to your spirit and poses the question, ‘how can we practise this art within, beyond and across traditions?’” noted a Bethlehem Centre press release.

Tickets are $100 for dinner, dessert and the evening program with Duhan Kaplan. Tickets are $50 for dessert and the evening program. Guests can also stay over at the centre for an additional $75.

The evening will also include a silent auction.
