Royalty will rule at Neck Point Park Saturday (Sept. 10) as the seventh annual Cavalier King Charles spaniel dog walk takes place.

The event is open to all Cavalier spaniels, their owners and spectators.

Registration and social activities begin at 11:30 a.m. with the traditional Parade of Cavaliers through the park starting at 1 p.m.

Dogs and their owners meet at Finn Beach, adjacent to the main parking lot, and then are invited to tour the park and finish off with group and individual photos.

The event then continues at Serious Coffee on Hammond Bay Road next to Piper’s Pub.

The walk has traditionally drawn more than 50 participants from across Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and as far away as Oregon.

Neck Point Park is at the end of Morningside Drive, off Hammond Bay Road.
