The search is on for six households to lead Canadians in the Energy Diet Challenge.
The three-month competition is part of an initiative designed by Canadian Geographic and Shell Canada to encourage Canadians to reduce and use energy more efficiently in their homes and make smarter mobility choices when it comes to their transportation.
From September to December the selected households will complete and chart their personal energy use and demonstrate how they’re going on an ‘energy diet’.
Canada’s most creative energy-using household could win a Toyota Prius V or a high-performance bike package for each participating household member.
Anyone interested in taking the challenge and putting themselves on an energy diet are encouraged to go to http://energydiet.canadiangeographic.ca to complete and submit their application form.
Nominations end July 4 at 11 p.m.
