The Nanaimo 7-10 Club Run/Walk Out Hunger has taken some steps toward ensuring its event this autumn is a success.

The club received a $5,000 donation last month from CIBC Wood Gundy to go toward the Oct. 8 charity event at Westwood Lake Park.

Organizers are now accepting sponsorships and registrations for the fourth annual Run/Walk Out Hunger. Once people register as an individual or team, they will receive a fundraising page where they can collect pledges.

Those wishing to register can find the link at the 7-10 Club’s website at www.nanaimo710club.com. Anyone able to help out as a sponsor is asked to e-mail runwalkouthungernanaimo@gmail.com.

The Nanaimo 7-10 Club Society provides upwards of 300-450 meals per day, according to a press release.
