Community members are asked to lace up and go for a run to try to change the future of breast cancer.
The CIBC Run for the Cure will be held Sunday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. at Beban Park. Participants are invited to run or walk a one-kilometre or 5km route to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society’s work supporting research and programs that help people with breast cancer.
“The impact of the CIBC Run for the Cure is undeniable. Together, with our supporters, we’ve contributed to significant improvements in the way breast cancer is being prevented, detected, diagnosed and treated,” says Andrea Seale, chief executive officer of the Canadian Cancer Society. “But there’s more to be done and we welcome Canadians to join us as we celebrate hope, progress and change.”
